Who we are, officially

WashPark Capital, LLC is a registered investment advisor with the State of Colorado. Our CRD number is 281306.

Registration means we've filed the proper paperwork and are subject to regulatory oversight. It does not imply any particular level of skill, training, or endorsement by the state. We mention this because "registered investment advisor" can sound fancier than it is.

Our legal obligation to you

As a registered investment advisor, we are a fiduciary. This means we are legally required to act in your best interest — not just recommend things that are "suitable."

In practice: we can't recommend something because it pays us more. We can't put our interests ahead of yours. If there's a conflict of interest, we have to disclose it. This isn't marketing — it's the law, and we take it seriously.

Client Relationship Summary (Form CRS)

The SEC requires us to provide a short document that explains who we are, what services we offer, how we're paid, and how to compare us to other financial professionals. It's designed to be readable.

Form ADV (our detailed brochure)

Form ADV is the main disclosure document for investment advisors. Part 2A describes our firm, services, fees, and potential conflicts of interest. Part 2B provides background on the specific people who will work with you.

These are longer and more detailed than the CRS. We're required to offer them to you before or at the time you become a client, and to provide updates annually.

Privacy policy

We collect personal information to provide our services — things like your name, contact information, financial situation, and investment objectives. We don't sell this information. We don't share it except as required to provide services or comply with law.

The full policy is available below. It covers what we collect, how we protect it, and your rights.

How we're paid

We are a fee-only advisor. This means we are paid directly by clients, not through commissions, product sales, or referral payments from third parties.

Our fees are listed on our main page and described in detail in Form ADV Part 2A. There are no hidden fees. If our fee structure ever changes, we'll tell you in advance.

The practical effect: when we recommend something, it's because we think it's right for you — not because someone is paying us to recommend it.

Conflicts of interest

All advisors have some conflicts of interest. The question is whether they're disclosed and managed. Here are ours:

We earn more if you have more assets with us. Our investment management fee is a percentage of assets. This creates an incentive to gather more assets. We mitigate this by being honest about when our services make sense — if you don't have enough assets for our fees to be worthwhile, we'll tell you.

We might recommend you consolidate accounts. This can be genuinely useful for simplification and planning, but it also increases the assets we manage. We'll explain our reasoning so you can decide if it makes sense for you.

We don't receive compensation from custodians, fund companies, or other third parties. We don't accept referral fees. We don't sell insurance or annuity products.

Business continuity

We maintain a business continuity plan to address disruptions like natural disasters, technology failures, or the unexpected absence of key personnel. Your assets are held at a third-party custodian, not with us, so they're protected regardless of what happens to our firm.

A summary of our business continuity plan is available upon request.

If any of this is confusing or you have questions, just ask. We'd rather explain something twice than have you wonder. justin@washparkcapital.com
